TacticalCraft has now closed its doors.
Due to lack in financial support I regret to announce that as of 1st of March, 8PM GMT TacticalCraft has closed its doors.
Six months ago Ubuntuhenschel, Quantumistic and TinuvaGeogroda started an ambitious project.
For weeks the project was preparated in a private forum. Unfortunately the project came to an halt when the main finances went dry.
At that point TinuvaGeogroda found it a waste to let the project go because he believed the way this server would act would actually be different than the current.
With concepts from all parts of the internet and online gaming we did believe we had a formula that simply made it more enjoyable to play on. And open up the MC world.
Using his own funds he started up using the name chosen previously. Ubuntuhenschel and Quantumistic joined in to help again.
That is how TacticalCraft came to be. Transparancy and fairness were our key words. An open place for everyone.
In the beginning everyone worked hard. The server was running smoothly. The website was launched and everyone was advertising on the Minecraft Forums and other places.
The population kept growing and everyone was quite happy. The community was still small but tight knit. It was a joy working for this community.
Then Quantumistic had to leave due to real life issues. I suppose that and people waiting to come online due to MineCraft 1.8 and 1.0 caused a demotivation.
Due to the community being small and some people taking a break for a few days while waiting for everything to be updated it seemed that the community shrunk.
Soon afterwards the advertising went on again and the server kept growing. Though slower than before. I did notice a change.
Ubuntuhenschel lost permanent access to the internet when his smartphone also broke down and even though new Management came in people didn't fight for TacticalCraft as they used to.
The spark had left a lot of people. I admit that slowly got the better of me too. Putting all your money and a lot of time in one project to only see people fight,
to only see it shrink... I can say that does demotivates me.
After various attempts for fundraisers practically no money came in. And after one desperate attempt to get the spark going a week before the bill came in I, and thus we, gave up.
TacticalCraft wasn't wanted nor needed anymore. It wasn't worth the money anymore. I could not see myself working on the server for hours for this result.
I am sorry but we gave it the best.
No matter what, I still believe in the concept. I still think it grasps the best of all worlds. But I can not realize it alone. It has taken it's toll, mainly financially.
Thus ends the story of TacticalCraft. A haven for everyone. I hope you find a safe place to build at.
And remember what I have said many times: "You truly are the way you act to persons you dislike." So be nice, even to the ones that frustrate you.
